The Edge Tech is a camera and strobe combination system allowing a remotely located operator to examine fine details of the strip's edge after a trimming operation is performed. During the production of steel, value added dollars are often lost due to the inability to monitor edge trimming. With the Edge Tech, an image of the sheared edge is captured, immediately after the knives trim the steel's edge, with an 8x magnification and simultaneous split-screen display of both edges.
